About Elite: Dangerous
You start with little money and a basic starship, and your goal is to do whatever it takes to upgrade your ships engine, hull, weapons and defenses, so you are able to carve your own path in this big sandbox galaxy world.
You will be able to fight pirate starships to collect bounty, or you can attack trading ships to get their cargo, and later sell the loot for profit.
Apart from sandbox you are able to do missions, and advance yourself in either trading world by upgrading your cargo capacity all the time, or become a ruthless weaponized battle ship. MMO mode is available.
Elite: Dangerous reviews are not out yet, but it is reported to be extremely awesome and beautiful on Oculus Rift.
