HP And HTC Vive Releasing Their Own VR PC Bundle Soon

Now that both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are out, VR PC bundles start popping from different places. Recent one is from HTC and HP, who partnered together to give you a $1,499 price point bundle.

This bundle will include a VR ready computer and complete HTC Vive package with all the controllers and sensors.

To put a cherry on top, you are given 2 free VR expriences – The Lab (which was already free funny enough), and theBLU: Encounter. Both of these games are a good representation of what VR could offer you.

Release date for this VR Bundle is not yet revealed, but, you can get yourself an email notification if you want to be up to date.htc-vive-vr-pc-bundle

With Vive, everything is included, but from the PC side, here are the specifications:

htc-vive-vr-pc-bundleGraphics: Radeon RX 480 with 1x HDMI and 3x DisplayPort outputs
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-6400
Memory: 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM
Storage: 128 GB solid-state drive and 1 TB hard drive
USB ports: 4x USB 2.0 and 4x USB 3.0
Operating system: Windows 10 Home
Mouse and keyboard: USB wired keyboard and optical mouse
Optical drive: Ultra Slim-Tray SuperMulti DVD Burner
Wireless: Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth® 4.0 M.2 combo
Warranty: 1-year limited warranty

Most of these specs are more than enough for Vive to pull some seriously good framerate, while also having no problems running all the latest triple-A games on ultra graphics.

Although it’s the first bundle that HTC and HP plan to release, I figure it’s not the only time they will collaborate. Giving people a cheap option is crucial right now, and $1,499 price point is really lowest of the low. Even Oculus Rift doesn’t have such cheap bundles, and Rift ones are without controllers (that cost $199 by themselves). With time, more expensive bundles will come out, giving you even better PC specs to play with, just like Oculus has on its website.

However, with this one it’s a really good deal in terms of price, and considering that PC is equipped with the latest hardware generation, you are getting a good deal with a discount of around $200.
