HTC Vive Pro 2 Microphone isn’t Good – Here is a Fix

HTC Vive Pro 2 was released just recently, and it seems that their idea of “premium” doesn’t apply to microphones.

The new VR headset has been packed and shipped, and it’s very hard to make changes to it once it’s already launched. Here is where the problem is.

As you can hear, there is a strong popping noise present when pronouncing certain letters. Here is how Vive Pro 2 microphone can sound if you apply the fix:

There is actually an easy solution to it. It only takes 1 minute to apply it, and it costs very little. The only minor issue is that you have to wait for 48 hours for the shipping time.

See, the microphone is located just under the headset in the middle.

The reason it has such a bad quality that is suitable only for console ragers online, is because it lacks any kind of filter.

Luckily, there are tons of filters available that can work. One of them is this pop filter:

Once it arrives, all you need to do is put the self-adhesive ring on the location of the microphone, and then the filter itself on the ring. It will look like this:

One may think that I will look like a certain German person from the 40s, But I say it’s more of a feature. Who wouldn’t like to get an awesome mustache!
