About Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes

This Oculus Rift bomb defuse game has not been released yet, but it is a fun entertainment nonetheless that is coming out not only for the Oculus Rift, but for the GearVR and Project Morpheus also.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a perfect party game that you can play with your friends. One of the users will be defusing a bomb in front of him with an Oculus Rift and Hydra, and the other one will be reading a bomb manual. The problem is, each bomb is quite different from the other one, so you have to be very careful with the description.

On each bomb there might be different symbol panels, wires, and a unique serial number. If you are not fast enough to defuse it within 5 minutes, the place is going to explode. The symbols on the bomb are quite fun to describe also, as they are not ordinary symbols. Sometimes you will have to describe them as “smiley faces” or “horseshoe”. To make it all more suspenseful, sound distractions are added that may activate randomly.

One of the downsides, however, is that you have to have a Razer Hydra in order to play KTANE. Playing it with keyboard is basically impossible (for now) since you have to use your one hand to rotate the bomb, and the other hand to interact with stuff. And as we don’t have the exact release date for KTANE, we do not know how the finished game works in the end.

We will be keeping an eye on this game, and once it is released, we will write about it.

UPDATE* – After contacting developers we found out that they are planning to use GearVR as an initial platform, and they hope to release the game within couple of months.
